A decade in commercial photography.

My expertise spans travel, lifestyle, nature, documentary work, and the arts. After earning my degree in Media and Sociology from the University of Leicester, UK, I returned to Brunei to specialize in media production, branding, marketing, analytics, and content creation.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

I began my career as a journalist and photographer for the Brunei Times news agency. I have collaborated with various Bruneian magazines and clients. Since 2014, I have also worked in multiple film productions and on sets as: Unit Production, Gaffer, Grip, Camera Operator, Director of Photography, Director and Producer. My film "Black Cat" won the grand prize in the 48-Hour Film category at the Brunei Film Blitz.

INSPIRATION AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Inspired by National Geographic, I aim to contribute to their publications. One of my photographs was featured in "Visions of Earth: National Geographic Photographs of Beauty, Majesty, and Wonder" in 2013.

PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENTS

I served as a Media Executive at HOCO Agency, specializing in Media production and Creative design. Additionally, I worked extensively for Perbadanan TAIB group of companies, where I played a crucial role in their rebranding efforts. My roles involved new media marketing, research, analysis, and ensuring the branding and content creation were aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals.

COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTEER WORK

I volunteer for Balyena.org, conducting annual marine wildlife surveys in the northern Philippines when I have the chance to commit. My commitment to conservation reflects my deep appreciation for nature.

CULTURAL INSIGHT AND COLLABORATION

Fluent in Malay and connected to the Malay Archipelago’s culture, my mixed British and Malay heritage enriches my work. I also enjoy collaborating with like-minded creatives in Brunei Darussalam.
